Transcervical Myomectomy with Resectoscopy

Abstract

|
Submcous fibroids and endometrial polyps were resected with gynecologic resctoscope in 18 patients. In 13 patients undergoing follow-up ultrasonography, 5 had residual tumors. Sessile myomas were difficult to resect completely compared with
polypoid
ones. The bleedings were improved in 13 of 16 patients complaining abnormal uterine bleeding (81.3%). Four pregnancies were achieved in 7 patients with infertility in 6-18 months after surgery. We can postulate that resectoscopic removal of
sumucous
myoma is very effective method of treatment in selected patients.
